Thanksgiving Break

I don't know about y'all, but my Thanksgiving break was much needed and fun-filled.  I didn't take any pictures of all the excitement that went on (oh, how I wish I had), but I thought I'd still feel ya in.
Wednesday was a restful day for me.  I'm telling you- teaching 15 kids can be exhausting!  I spent the morning being lazy.  That afternoon I headed out to solidify my role as "best friend in the world" by watching Deacon for Beth so she could go get a pedicure.  That night, we hung out at Beth and Brett's and entertained Deacon while they slaved over the stove for Turkey Day.  These are the only pictures I took of the entire weekend and they were with my iPhone, so enjoy...

Thursday we enjoyed a quiet lunch with my mom.  It was so nice to not have to travel anywhere this year and relax after lunch.  We're working on a way to make this happen every year.  I'll let you know how that turns out.  The relaxing was short lived because our 1st annual Shoppapalooza began at 9 that night.  A group of about 10 of us mapped out a shopping itenerary and made our way to our first stop.  This was probably one of the craziest things I've ever done- seriously.  We waited in line for 2 hours for Old Navy to open and I proceeded to scale the wall in the store to get what I needed (and I'm pretty sure I pulled a muscle doing so).  Then we headed to Toys R Us, where we waited another 2 hours to check out!  Then, it was on to Target which was the craziest scene of all, complete with people videoing people fighting and line cutters.  Next, Kinnucan's where we all received $25 gift cards for being some of the first in line.  Last, we headed to the mall, where I proceeded to have a breakdown over exhaustion and hunger.  We finally made it home around 9 a.m.
Needless to say, we spent most of Friday recovering from Shoppapalooza.  However, we couldn't miss cheering on our Auburn Tigers.  We headed to Gene and Shea's to watch the game.  What a great game it was!  We were all still exhausted from our night out, but we managed to cheer Auburn on to another win.  And one of the biggest wins of all- we beat the bammers!
Saturday we spent the day celebrating Gavin's brother's birthday at the skating center.  I'm pretty sure I got the workout of a lifetime in, skating for the first time in probably 10 years!  And Sunday we spent the morning in church and the afternoon resting.
Like I said, we had a great break.  The only thing that would have made it better was more pictures.  Oh well, maybe next time.  Now it's time to prepare for Christmas.  We are revamping our decor this year, so stay tuned for that.  And if any of you have suggestions for a good place to get some cute stockings, please let me know!
