More Road Trippin'- North Carolina, Williamsburg, and Yorktown

After visiting Charleston, we headed up to North Carolina to spend the night and visit my friend Jessica.  Jessica and I taught together last year.  Her husband is in the ARMY and they were moved back to Ft. Bragg this June.  I was so excited to see her!

And her sweet boys!

After a yummy breakfast with Jess and the boys, we drove to Virginia and hopped on a fairy boat...

(excuse the iPhone picture)

And headed to a place where it's normal to see people walking around like this...

And this...

We walked around and checked the place out.  Other than the pub, Gavin's favorite place was the apothacary (pharmacy).

Later we enjoyed the Fife and Drum...

And walked around some more...

Since we were already in the area, we decided to head to Yorktown, which I loved!  Let's face it- I love the water!  It was so quaint.  There were ships going in and out.  People were playing volleyball on the grassy areas.  A Ben & Jerry's on the water.  Yeah, I could have stayed there a while.

Be back later with more!

  1. Great pictures! I'm waiting for the shot of you and Gavin dressed in Colonial wear! ;) Now that would be blog-worthy!

  2. Yeah, we missed out on the opportunity to rent costumes. You know how much Gavin would have loved that! Maybe next time...
