San Francisco: Day 1

For my birthday this year, my mom wanted to take me on a trip.  She told me to decide where I wanted to go and we'd go.  It was a toughy between New York City and San Francisco, but I decided I wanted to go to San Fran in the end.
.
For our first day, we decided to just check out the city.  Kind of go wherever the wind blew us (it was a cool, windy day too!).  We started off at the farmer's market and immediately fell in love.  There are hundreds of stores and vendors selling their local goodies.  We racked up on quite a bit of stuff- we even had to ship some of it back!

After spending the morning shopping, we stopped in at one of the restaraunts in the farmer's market.  Their specialty?  Local seafood, of course!
.
.
After enjoying a delicious meal with an awesome view of the bay bridge, we hopped on the F-Train and headed down to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf.
.
 .
I was excited to see the sea lions and their performance delivered.  They "barked" and showed off for all of the spectators.
.

 .
We walked to the end of Pier 39 to check out all of the sail boats as well.  Since it was windy out, there were plenty to be seen.
.

Next, we walked to Fisherman's Wharf.  There were a lot of street performers in the area, but I was more interested in the shopping!  We got lots of goodies.
.
 .
At the end of the road, there was a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge.  I was excited to see the well known sight!
.
.
After a long day of exploring and walking, we headed back to our hotel.  We were all so exhausted, that we ordered room service for dinner.  We wanted to get rest for the next day's adventures!
